Evaluation

A detailed evaluation and assessment is done initially where a thorough Mental State Examination (MSE) is conducted and then past history about previous psychiatric issues, medical history of associated illnesses like Diabetes, BP etc, birth and developmental history, family history of any psychiatric or any physical health problems and treatment history like previous treatment taken or current medication are all collected to have a comprehensive understanding of the full case. The evaluation considers the presenting symptoms in relation to other environmental, physical, social, inter-personal, emotional, cognitive (thinking), behavioural and genetic aspects.
